Version 3.0: Major UI changes & more
Today we wanted to talk a little bit about the upcoming version 3.0 of BandFriend and the features and changes it will contain. Of course every new version version comes with little tweaks and bug fixes, however in our newest release we have a few major changes.
Our goal for 3.0 was to create a release that looks and feels the same across all platforms. While we already offered an Android app, its looks are a little dated and compared to the current iPhone version it just didn’t match up. We tried to remedy this and we hope you like the results. Both iOS and Android versions of BandFriend now pretty much look the same and feature a new side menu navigation.
BandFriend finally runs natively on the iPad and iPad mini and makes use of the larger screen space available. You will be able to use it both in portrait or landscape mode. While the Android app already worked on tablets, you can also use it in both orientations now.
Find By Location
One of the most requested features is finally here. You can now search for musicians at any location. Simply type the address, city or zip code and we’ll do the rest.
The iOS app will now require a minimum of iOS 6 to run BandFriend 3.0.
We are currently in the final stages of testing and preparing for the release of both apps later this month.
